ABOUT
Tomasz is a graduate from the Cinematography Department of Łódź Film School.
He works as a cinematographer for feature films and adverts. As film school student he has made few films which were shown at festivals in Poland and worldwide (Palm Spring Film Festival, Angers Film Festival, Tampere Film Festival, Camerimage, Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, Krakow Film Festival, Warsaw Film Festival to name a few). At the 59th Krakow Film Festival he was awarded for the best cinematography by Association of Polish Cinematographers.
In 2019 he has made his feature debut “Mohyla” with Slovak director Andrej Kolencik. So far, he has been the DoP of 5 feature films. Three of the feature films will soon premiere - Leaving Eden by Genc Permeti, The Sluggard Clan by Rastislav Boros and The Empty Pockets by Filip Bojarski.
He worked as a camera operator with Martin Štrba (Charlatan, Kill Sekala) on Iveta Grofova’s feature entry ''Emma and the Death's Head'' - premiered at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival. From 2020 Tomek is a member of ASK – the Slovak Society of Cinematographers. He was selected by the ASC (American Society of Cinematographers) to the ASC Mentorship Program, where he will be artistically led by Russell Carpenter ASC, the cinematographer of Titanic and Avatar: The Way of Water.
